Audrey Hammond studied Fine Art at the University of Reading and Bournemouth College of Art.  After several years in Buckinghamshire as a freelance artist and tutor, she moved to the Cotswolds in 1978.  Audrey derives inspiration both from her strong roots in Dorset and the West Country and from her passion for the colours and patterns of the Cotswold landscape with its ancient Salt Ways and high blue hills’.  Other influences include the calm simplicity of Morandi’s still life work.  Currently she works mainly in mixed media with a bias towards pastel.
